Quimbayan Treasure

This are pieces from the Colombian Quimbaya culture (4th–5th century CE), currently housed at the Museum of America in Madrid, Spain.

I created this 3D pieces as part of a project with 3DStoa in colaboration with Global Digital Heritage (GDH), which involved virtualizing 83 golden Quimbayan artifacts. For some objects, I carried out the full workflow—from photography to the final render.

For the head piece, I used cross-polarization photography to minimize reflections and capture the fine details of the gold surface as accurately as possible.

Thanks, as always, to my workmates who also worked on this project.
